Classes FAQ

Are tools provided?

  • All tools and materials are included in the class cost, including a budget for sterling silver. The tools are on loan not purchased.
  • Bringing your own PPE is recommended to allow for best fit. Some PPE is supplied as needed during each class.
  • You can bring your own tools if you prefer, they must be marked with paint or tape as to not confuse them with class tools. You must show them to Clear Mind staff upon arriving and they must be photographed prior to use in class for tracking purposes.

Where are the in-person classes held?

  • All classes are in-person at our Saulnierville, NS studio.
  • The studio is ground level and accessible to those with some mobility needs. The rest-room facilities are in a separate building that is not at ground level and not accessible (4 stair step to gain access).
  • On site parking is available.

Do I get to participate in the casting process?

  • All lost wax casting classes include a casting demo the morning of day 2. Class participation in the demo is determined by experience. This includes all parts of casting including spruing, investing, metal melting, etc. 

Can I get a refund? What happens if I can't go?

  • In the case of severe weather warning, power outage, or other unforeseen circumstance that create an unavoidable closure of the class a make up class will be offered prior to refunds being available.
  • If you will be unable to attend your class for an unforeseen reason 1 week notice minimum is required in order to get a refund.

What should I do for lunch?

  • Private BBQ lunch will be provided during classes. Allergies, and other needs must be brought to the attention of Clear Mind prior to the class.
  • All classes are 9am-5pm with a 30 minute to 60 minute lunch depending on student skill level and time. You can leave and go to lunch at a local spot. Whether it's wise to do so will depend on how far along you are in your project.
