Canada Post on Strike

As a Canadian company, based in the picturesque province of Nova Scotia, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to live and work in such a beautiful location. However, as a business whose primary customer base is in the United States, we face some unique challenges—particularly when it comes to shipping costs.

Navigating Shipping Challenges

For many years, Canada Post has been our trusted shipping partner. Their reliable service, convenient locations, and competitive pricing made them an ideal choice for our needs, especially given that we ship heavy items, where cost is a significant factor.

However, due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, we are currently facing shipping rates that are two to three times higher than normal when shipping with other carriers. This disruption has made it more difficult to maintain our usual pricing structure, and we wanted to be transparent with you about the impact this may have on your orders.

Our Solution: Adapting for the Holidays

In order to continue offering our products, especially as we approach the holiday season, we have made a few adjustments to our offerings:

Ear Weights and Select Items Remain Available: We will continue to sell ear weights and a small selection of other items. While shipping costs have increased slightly ($5-10), we will absorb the remaining difference in shipping fees to minimize the impact on you.

Temporary Out of Stock on Smaller Items: Unfortunately, we have temporarily marked smaller or lower-priced items as out of stock. With the significant increase in shipping costs for these items, we would rather temporarily suspend their availability than pass on unreasonable shipping fees to our customers. The revenue from these items doesn’t allow us to absorb the higher costs we are currently seeing.

Delays Due to Strikes: Please be aware that any orders that were in transit (with Canada Posts) or in process prior to the strike will likely experience delays. We understand the frustration this may cause, and we are doing everything we can to minimize these disruptions.
