We are opening shipping to the US!

📦 We’re Back to Shipping to the USA — Here’s What You Need to Know

We’re excited to announce that we’re officially reopening shipping to the United States. It’s something many of you have asked for, and we truly appreciate your patience as we’ve navigated the changing trade landscape.

🇨🇦 What CUSMA Means for Your Orders

The Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA/USMCA) continues to provide preferential treatment for qualifying goods. Meaning products like ours that are made in Canada should be exempt from U.S. tariffs when properly documented.

But here’s the nuance:

The U.S. government eliminated the long-standing duty-free “de minimis” threshold for shipments valued under $800 USD. This means every commercial shipment now goes through full customs clearance.

What this means for you:

  • We’ll need full contact information for each U.S. customer so the carrier can complete the import process.
  • Even if your order qualifies under CUSMA and should be exempt from U.S. tariffs, that doesn’t always mean $0 at delivery. Customs authorities or carriers may still apply brokerage fees, merchandise processing fees, taxes, or other handling charges.
  • Every carrier handles these differently, and fees are often collected at delivery or billed afterward.
  • And just because a parcel SHOULD be cleared under CUSMA it doesn’t mean every parcel will be cleared.

In short: CUSMA should eliminate or reduce tariffs, but it doesn’t assure the elimination of all import-related charges.  Please keep in mind with your orders that there may be additional charges upon import.

Changing Rules = Shared Responsibility

Tariffs and customs rules can change depending on broader U.S. policy decisions or trade negotiations. We strongly recommend that U.S. customers check with customs brokers or U.S. Customs & Border Protection for the most current rules before ordering.

💔 Refused Shipments & Refunds

We also want to be clear about our refund policy in cases where a shipment is refused due to import fees.

If a package is refused and returned to us, we can only refund the original product price minus any fees or charges that are applied by carriers or border agencies and rerouted to us as a cost.

In other words, we cannot absorb duties, brokerage, or transport fees that were incurred in the shipping or return process. We are a small business, not Amazon, so every return does have an impact.

We thank you all for your understanding over the last year while we have been limiting shipments to the US and ask for your continued patience as we work towards finding a new normal. If you have any questions regarding shipping or anything else feel free to reach out.
